The  rustic characteristics of natural split slate makes it an ideal solution for outdoor areas. The simple elegance of a slate pathway or terrace is shown to advantage by this material.

Traditionally the slabs are 30 x 30 cm or 40 x 40 but alternative sizes and forms are available such as the opus romanum, opus incertum or the “a Correre” model. The thickness of the slates should be of 1 – 1.5 or 2 cm.
