Sheared roof

The sheared roof is also known as the “rustic mountain roof”. The visible sides of the slate create an irregular pattern. The roof can be laid using  the double or triple method. The latter ensures a longer lasting roof but can only be applied on constructions which are sufficiently robust, as the thickness of the finished roof is notably greater than with other types of tiles. The roof can be laid using zinc nails or mortar.
