This roof is laid onto specially placed wooden battens (positioned according to the method known as “scarsetta”) As with the other types of roof, the roofing begins at the lowest point, the eaves, with slates of a different dimension from the others. The slates are laid so that each one covers two thirds of the one below it. Proceeding in this way, the finished roof has a triple overlay. The specially shaped hook is inserted into the space between one slate and another and is consequently covered by the successive slate. |
